New day, New time

Spanish Conversation School of Estelí  is a non-profit based in the 2nd poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Our goal is to provide sustainable employment for the unemployed & under-employed in Nicaragua. Some teachers have two or more part-time jobs that they have to attend to. The pay is embarrassingly low in those jobs so we are helping them to augment their living.

The teachers don’t live at the school. They have to provide their own transportation. Most have to walk here. They have to schedule teaching sessions so as not to miss or conflict with their other jobs and responsibilities.

When a student does not show up for a class this hurts the teacher. Some are not married and have to find someone to take care of their kids.

Rescheduling: 

• You must email the school at: info@spanishconversation.net at least 36 hours in advance for a reschedule. . 
  
• We don’t monitor the teacher’s Skype messages so please don’t Skype your message, we won't see it.
  
• The teachers don’t have Skype or email at home.
  
• When we receive a request for a reschedule we have to call them to see if they are available for a different day and time. Like you, they are not sitting by the phone waiting for us to call, so we need extra time to help you to reschedule your class.
• If your Internet connection is slow and making a class difficult or impossible to complete please don’t expect the teacher to lose her or his pay.

• If the school should temporarily lose the Internet we will reschedule without charging the student. We have a stable, high-speed connection. (We also have software that tells us if the problem is at our end or your end).
  

• We allow no more than two reschedules for the same class so plan ahead.
